Psychological Services

Psychological services are available upon request and provided by Psychology Externs from Rosalind Franklin University under the direct supervision of a licensed Psychologist. Evaluation, Individual and group therapy is available. University associates are also providing a variety of classes on-site for our individuals to improve cognitive, social and behavioral skills.

Health & Fitness Program
This twelve-week program utilizes an innovative curriculum developed by the University of Illinois at Chicago Rehabilitation Research Training Center on Aging with a Developmental Disability.
Monitored by our recreation therapist, this program encompasses a philosophy of personal wellness by teaching skills related to healthy eating and exercise. Our Health & Fitness program ensures that our individuals experience optimum health while participating in a fun and energetic classroom environment. Class sizes are smalling, ensuring the necessary one-on-one involvement with their instructor.

Living Life to the Fullest
Our Life Skills Education Program is designed to expose our individuals to life-enhancing experiences. Participating individuals have the opportunity to grow the confidence and knowledge needed for personal awareness and community integration.
Our program provides classes that support higher levels of self-responsibility, independence, self-sufficiency, advocacy, leadership, and healthy lifestyles. We offer a variety of courses and opportunities that are continuously expanded so that we may continue to offer the best Life Skills Education Program available in Lake County.
