An Evening In Tuscany

On April 30, Carlucci’s Restaurant in Lincolnshire was the perfect setting to hold our spring fundraiser, “An Evening in Tuscany.” With 166 guests attending, including special guests CMDCM (SW) Brad Renollet and BUC (SCW) John Woolston from Great Lakes Naval Base, the evening was superb.
During the cocktail hour the guests enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra impersonator Mr. Sam Magdel while they mingled and bid on all the wonderful auction items that were on display throughout the restaurant. Colleen Babington, Executive Director of Northpointe, and Gary Hirsch, President of Northpointe’s Board of Directors, presented CMDCM (SW) Brad Renollet with a plaque on behalf of all the Navy volunteers from Great Lakes Naval Base. Renollet was overwhelmed with receiving the plaque. He has great admiration for all the men and women served and looks forward to continuing his relationship with Northpointe.
Over the past two years the Navy has volunteered over 28,000 hours and over 260 personnel and family members from the Navy Band, Naval Hospital, Naval Hospital Corps School, Naval Reserve Center, Naval Station Great Lakes, and the Recruit Training Command. They have completed over twenty-eight various projects throughout Northpointe’s Killian Center and CILA homes to improve the safety and quality of the lives of all persons served by Northpointe. This saved Northpointe in excess of $480,000.00.
The evening would not have been a success without the generous sponsors: Eternabond and the Margarites family; Cancer Treatment Center of America/Midwestern Regional Medical Center; Anthony & Gloria Floridan; Emmett & Mary Pollice and Therapy Providers. Thanks also to the many companies and individuals who donated silent auction items and made contributions to the event. Because of all their support Northpointe raised over $58,000.00.
