Although the weather was rainy, nothing could dampen the spirits of the 140 attendees who enjoyed delicious food, great racing, mingling with friends, a fun capsule drawing, and a large selection of silent auction items—from flying lessons to fire pits to private wine-making parties to a Cubs game suite package. There truly was something for everyone. |

| A Day at the Races brought us almost $40,000 for our Healthy Lifestyles program. The event committee was chaired by Colette Berardi and co-chaired by Julie Pendleton-Burke, whose endless hours of dedication were the cornerstone of this successful event. And a special thank-you goes out to Anne and Bob Johnson, whose skills at obtaining an variety of top-notch silent auction items are lengendary.
