NorthPointe joins in the fun at the Disability Pride Parade
![]() |
The Disability Pride Parade was on Saturday July 24 in downtown Chicago, unfortunately the individuals missed the actual parade (which was moved up from 12 noon to 10am to accommodate the bad weather forecasted for Chicago) but luckily everyone got there just in time to attend the festival that followed. The festival began at 12pm and had live performers, food and drinks, as well as different booths advocating for those with disability and information about the budget cuts that are affecting our individuals. Everyone had so much fun despite the insanely hot weather that day and can't stop talking about attend the parade again next year.
A big thank you to "Lake County Center for Independent Living" for provided transportation and to Brian D. for letting us know about the Parade.
