The Bob Killian Memorial Scholarship

The Bob Killian Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to a student pursuing a degree in Rehabilitations Services or Special Education and must meet a list of eligibility requirements at the Annual Community Honors and Awards Program at Zion Benton Township High School.
This year’s recipient was Ms. Kaylah Parks. Ms. Parks met all of the requirements and her letter to the nominating committee sited the challenges faced by people with disabilities. She is planning to get her PhD in psychology at Temple University, after which opening a program that specializes in helping the disabled with their emotional and educational needs. "In my opinion, my job will be to open up society's eyes and make them aware that the disabled are just as important as anyone else" stated Ms. Parks. Congratulations Kaylah!
