NorthPointe will need your online votes to WIN!!
Eye of the Beholder will provide 500 individuals with disabilities living in Cook and Lake County, IL. an opportunity to explore digital photography. Individuals, educators and staff will be mentored, by a professional photographer, to view objects, life and nature in a creative way. A 2 day workshop will be held in 20 high school districts and 5 adult community agencies serving low economic areas. Each workshop will conclude with an art exhibit featured in a local community business and each participant will receive a matted photo of their artwork. Select photos will be displayed in an online exhibit on NorthPointe Resources web page, featuring a contest and voting mechanism. Monetary awards will be given for the top 5 photos with the most votes. Eye of the Beholder encourages individuals with disabilities to view their world through a new lens and inspires community to look beyond disability and see ability.
Here is how it works...
Proposals are submitted and accepted monthly. At the end of the month, the 24 ideas with the most votes receive grants. NorthPointe Resources submitted a proposal and if accepted, voting will begin on Thursday July 1. Our project “Eye of the Beholder” will provide 500 individuals with disabilities living in Cook and Lake County, IL an opportunity to explore digital photography.

As soon as we are approved we will let you know so you can begin VOTING DAILY FOR NORTHPOINTE. Voting begins on Thursday July 1, 2010 and lasts throughout the month, ending on Saturday July 31.
