SmileMark Players presents, The Wizard of Oz!

Things were hopping on Friday, May 21st at the Christ Community Church in Zion. The auditorium was filled with over 200 guests attending a presentation by our very own SmileMark Players of "The Wizard of Oz.” The actors performing were: Alex D, Andrew H, Barb R, Caroline P, Chris D, David G, Debbie S, Gary R, Heather C, Jacqueline F, John V, Julianna P, Lynn G, Mark W, Mike G, Nathan F, Ray S, Shannon K, and Will B. All 19 individuals did an outstanding job performing to the delight of the audience who were thoroughly entertained and were overheard saying …“That was even better then I could have imagined” ... “They were all wonderful!” ... “AMAZING” ... “I can’t wait to see it again”…”When are they going to do it again?” ... “I couldn’t stop smiling” … “Can't wait to see what they do next” … and “Hats off to all who helped them, just wonderful!"
How does a successful performance like this come together? These theatrical performances require the time and efforts of many volunteers and staff . This year’s staff included Tom Brost, Troyce Bullocks, Dina Donohue Chase, Marybeth Gilchrist, Corwin Gilmore, Kristin Krok, BA Lord, Patrice Medina, DJ Morask, Lisa Niemietz, Deb Ramsey, DeeDee Schiller, Sarah Wardlow and Pat Winn . The performance was directed by volunteer Kayla Lord.
