REPORTS TO: Division Program Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Manages & coordinates coverage of Independent Living Counselors in all agency CILA’s and ensures services to men and women in the residential program are provided according to service plans and as needs arise.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Serves as a liaison with Day Program Services and other assigned professional services to meet consumer needs as they arise.
2. Manages bi-weekly timekeeping and payroll issues for all ILC staff, coordinating with the finance department as necessary.
3. Enrolls ILC’s and ensures attendance at all required training in the first scheduled training class for a new hire and on an annual basis for all classes requiring annual rectification.
4. Develops and posts completed work schedules one week prior to the beginning of the ILC work-week. Creates a master schedule and actively schedules ILC’s to reduce department overtime, maintaining minimum staffing requirements in CILA homes.
5. Schedules and manages all ILC time off to include PTO, Holiday, Leave of Absence, illness, according to Policy & Procedures. etc.
6. Supervises and schedules on-call and floater ILC’s.
7. Conducts DSP OJT’s to proficiency with ILC’s within 120 days of hire.
8. Coordinates and monitors daily service needs of the CILA consumers ensuring smooth operation as concerns arise.
9. Educate, promote and provide support to individuals in making healthy lifestyle choices, as referenced in the DSP health and safety and health and nutrition training curriculums and/or service plans.
10. Provides coverage as on-call shift coordinator as scheduled and on an as needed and ongoing basis.
11. Completes on-call CILA shift Coordinator and shift paperwork – shift coverage report, Cell Phone log, Call- around log, and forwards to Residential Program Manager or his/her designee weekly.
12. Provides ILC coverage a minimum of 32 hours per month and as required, including weekends
13. The employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer’s business needs.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Keeps abreast of developments in the field by attending seminars, workshops and networking with other social services agencies, etc.
2. Serves on an agency committee as assigned and/or volunteers for fundraising activities, etc.
PHYSICAL & VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
2. Ability to see accurately both near and far
3. Ability to walk, bend, twist, kneel, and stoop
4. Ability to accurately manipulate small objects accurately using fine motor skills
5. Ability to drive to various locations as needed, adapting to various weather conditions
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. HS Diploma / GED required, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
2. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
3. Valid/acceptable driver’s license required.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills required.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
