PHOTO EXHIBIT A GREAT SUCCESS!
![]() |
Many photos were sold at our very well attended, first ever, photo exhibit. During the summer we completed a series of photography workshops lead by Nick Schutzenhofer, of Arts of Life located in Chicago, Illinois. The results were so outstanding it was decided that we should introduce the community to the photography that was produced. These beautiful and unique photographs reveal the participants creativity and passion for their work.
Our LifeSkills Education Program was developed to give participants the opportunity to build confidence and gain the knowledge needed for personal awareness, as well as community integration. Our fine art program offers the opportunity for artistic expression, which is universally appreciated and understood as an effective media of communication that exists within all cultures. This program expands the opportunity for expression and creativity for the individuals we serve.
"This provided a good learning experience because our community had the opportunity to be exposed to the exceptional creative level of the individuals we serve," said Kristin Krok, LifeSkills Education Manager. "It’s the nature of art to have it on display and to have your work viewed."
The photographers where present to meet and greet the attendees, who all spoke of the inspiration they found in the creative expression of the photographs. These wonderful photographs are sold matted and will be available to be purchase for $25 each on our web store soon.
More classes and exhibits are being planned for this year. For more information about this, - and other creative art programs, please contact Kristin Krok at kkrok@NorthPointeResources.org
