CAREGIVER CONNECTION GRANT

NorthPointe was recently recognized as a leader in quality service delivery by being chosen as the sole organization to implement Caregiver Connection in Lake County, Illinois. Cargiver Connection is a program sponsored by the Illinois Department of Human Services to bring valuable services to Illinois childcare providers working with children experiencing social and emotional adjustment issues.
In 2003 the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Act paved the way for a unified and comprehensive system to address children’s mental health. Research shows that one of the most effective ways for addressing both prevention and early intervention is to provide those who care and educate our children a new and critical resource: The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (MHC).
NorthPointe’s MHC will be serving all of Lake County Illinois, children in day care aged 0-5, to ensure caregivers of children with challenging childhood behaviors are given all the support they need to ensure children have a happy and successful childhood.
