NorthPointe Resources relies on the generosity of the community for:

  • Furnishings and household items for our community homes
  • Furnishings and household items for individuals transitioning to their own apartments
  • Personal items for our clients
  • Office furnishing and supplies for the Killian Center, where our Day Program services take place

What is the donation process?

Donations are accepted at the Killian Center, 3441 Sheridan Road, Zion, from 9am until 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays unless prior arrangements are made. 

Items that Require Prior Arrangements/Approval via the Director of Development

Any over-sized items including furniture, large appliances, office furniture, mattresses, computer equipment, TVs and electronics.

To obtain approval and/or schedule a pick-up, send a detailed list and pictures of items to be donated to donate@nri1953.org or call the Development Office at 847-731-5708.

We request a minimum of 10 business days to schedule a pick-up. We will make every effort to accomodate pick-up requests but have to work with staffing scheduled and truck availability. Pick ups are scheduled 1-2 times per month on a Wednesday. 

Donation receipts (for tax records) will be given to donors upon pick-up of donation.

The Killian Center Wish List:

We can pick up the office furniture, file cabinets, equipment, electronics and/or supplies you no longer need and put it to good use at the Killian Center.

Once received, items that cannot be used are donated to another not-for-profit organization or sold. If sold, 100% of proceeds help provide much-needed support services for people with disabilities & mental illness.
