  • Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International). Our accreditation reviews consistently result in the highest rating of a three-year accreditation for services.
  • Accredited in the Self-Employment Program to help individuals develop their own micro-enterprise businesses.
  • Long-standing members of IARF (Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities), a highly regarded nationwide professional
    resource for information and advocacy initiatives.
  • One of the first agencies in the country to receive accreditation for the “Self-Directed Services” program designed to support individuals in choosing, planning, and coordinating their own services.



The Employment First Grant

This grant is modeled on a national movement that believes employment in the general workforce is the first and preferred option when exploring goals and a life path for people with I/DD.

The Caregiver Connection Grant
(Continuously awarded 2008–2015)

Serving Lake County, Illinois, this grant allows NorthPointe to provide support service for parents and caregivers of children through age 5 who are experiencing social and emotional adjustment issues.
